Managing Your Projects

Use My Projects to turn an original idea or viral TikTok reference into a topic, script, and production-ready Summary.

My Projects is where you develop content before publishing. It keeps your topic, reference videos, content recipe, script, and final Summary together in one project.

Every project moves through three creative stages:

Ideation → Scripting → Summary

Publishing is managed separately in Planner. Publishing, scheduling, or retrying a post never changes the stage of your project in My Projects.

Overview

Use the tabs at the top to filter projects by creative stage:

TabWhat's in it
AllEvery project
IdeationProjects where the topic, references, or content recipe are still being developed
ScriptingProjects with a generated script that can be edited or rewritten
SummaryProjects with a completed filming guide and script summary

The number next to each tab updates as projects move through the creative workflow. Use the search box to find a project by name.

Starting a project

The Create Project card gives you two ways to begin.

Create original

Choose Create original to start with your own idea. Fypro opens the Ideation workspace, where you can define the topic, choose references, and shape the content recipe before generating a script.

Reimagine a TikTok

Choose Reimagine a TikTok to create a new direction from a specific TikTok video:

  1. Paste the link to a TikTok video.
  2. Fypro analyzes the reference and adds it to the project.
  3. Use the existing structure as inspiration while adapting the topic, angle, and delivery to your own Creator DNA.

If the link is invalid, is not a specific TikTok video, or cannot be analyzed, the project is not created and you can try another link.

You can also enter this workflow from a Create Topic & Script or Reimagine action elsewhere in Fypro. A project is created only after you explicitly choose a creation action.

Creative stages

Each project shows its current creative stage and the action available for that stage.

StageWhat it meansMain action
IdeationYou are defining the topic, references, or content recipeEdit
ScriptingA script has been generated and is ready to refineEdit
SummaryThe final creative summary has been generatedView Summary

A stage changes only after the next piece of content is generated successfully. Refreshing the page, reopening a project, exporting a Summary, or using Planner does not change the creative stage.

Building your topic

During Ideation, Fypro helps answer three questions: what should the video be about, what should it reference, and how should the idea be expressed?

Your content recipe can include:

  • Topic — the short title used as the default project name and Summary title
  • Core Topic — the complete creative direction used by AI when generating the script
  • Sub-niche — the specific content category
  • Video Style — the intended presentation or filming style
  • Emotion — the feeling the video should create
  • Formula — the content structure, including the Hook and pacing
  • Sound / BGM — suggested audio direction
  • Reference Videos — examples used for analysis and inspiration

When your topic is ready, generate the script. The project moves to Scripting only after the script is generated successfully. If generation fails, your Ideation work stays saved so you can retry.

Writing your script

Scripts are organized into timed sections such as Hook, content beats, and CTA. Each section can include:

FieldWhat it contains
SectionThe section name and order in the script
DurationThe suggested timing
ShotCamera, scene, or action directions
Voice / SoundDialogue, voiceover, natural sound, or music direction
CaptionOn-screen text, when needed

You can edit the script directly or ask Script AI to rewrite a specific section. A section rewrite changes only that section unless you ask for broader changes.

When the script is ready, select Next: Summary. Fypro uses the latest saved script to generate the final Summary. If generation fails, the project stays in Scripting and your script is preserved.

Using Summary

Summary is the final stage in My Projects. It brings together:

  • the Summary title;
  • the Content Blueprint or filming guide; and
  • the complete video script.

Use it as a filming reference, share it with a collaborator, or export it for production. Select View Summary from the project list to open it. Depending on the available actions, you can also edit or export the Summary, or select Try AI Video to continue in the AI video workflow.

Summary means the creative work is ready. It does not mean a post has been created, scheduled, or published. There is no Publish action that changes a My Projects record into a publishing status.

Managing projects

  • Use Edit to continue an Ideation or Scripting project.
  • Use View Summary to reopen a completed Summary.
  • Use the project menu or management controls to delete a project. Deletion cannot be undone.
  • Use search to find projects by project name.

Editing or deleting a project in My Projects does not change any Planner records that were already created from its content.

My Projects and Planner

My Projects and Planner store different parts of the workflow:

My ProjectsPlanner
Develops the topic and content recipeCreates an independent publishing record
Generates and edits the scriptStores the finished video and post settings
Produces the final SummaryManages drafts, schedules, publishing issues, and published results
Tracks creative progress onlyTracks publishing progress only

When your finished video is ready, open Planner and select Create Post. A project in My Projects can have no Planner record, one record, or multiple records—for example, when you publish the same video more than once.

FAQ

Where did the Publish button go?

Publishing now lives in Planner. My Projects ends at Summary so creative progress and publishing status stay separate.

Can I publish the same creative project more than once?

Yes. Each publishing attempt creates an independent Planner record, so one project in My Projects can support multiple posts.

What happens to a Planner post if I edit or delete its project in My Projects?

Nothing changes in Planner. Existing publishing records keep their saved video, cover, settings, status, and result.

Can I adjust only one part of an AI-generated script?

Yes. Edit that section directly or ask Script AI for a targeted rewrite, such as “make the Hook more casual.” The rest of the script stays unchanged unless you request broader edits.

Does Reimagine copy the original TikTok script?

No. Fypro can reuse an effective structure as inspiration, but it creates new wording and adapts the result to your topic and Creator DNA.
